Vacation Inspections
Vacation Inspections are a service we offer that is geared toward homeowners that leave their homes for extended periods. A perfect example of our typical clients are retirees residing in a retirement community that leave our beautiful Illinois weather for a warmer climate. Our goal is to give our clients ‘Peace of Mind’ while they are away. We accomplish this by visiting the home home on a weekly basis and performing a mini inspection.
During our weekly visit we:
- Walk exterior of home to check for security and any weather damage
- Upon entering home, check for any unusual smells, sounds, etc
- Ensure proper operation of furnace. Change filter monthly depending on length of contract
- Check any other major appliances for abnormal operation
- Check circuit breaker box for any tripped breakers and investigate cause
- Check for proper operation of smoke detectors
- Inspect under bathroom and kitchen sinks for leaking
- Run water to prevent traps from drying out
- Make sure all windows are locked
- Secure home before leaving
- Provide a weekly report of our visit either via e-mail, text message or written report
- Other services available for an additional charge
